Ingredients:
- ½ c cashew nuts
- 8 dates, chopped
- ½ c hot water
- 2 large bananas
- 1 t vanilla
- ½ c raisins or sultanas
- 2 c cooked buckwheatd
Method:
- Buckwheat is cooked by using 1 c of grain to 3 c water and ½ t salt.
- Bring to boil and simmer gently until cooked, 20-30 minutes.
- One cup of buckwheat makes approximately 3 c of cooked grain.
- Blend first five ingredients.
- Pour into bowl and mix in cooked buckwheat and raisins or sultanas.
- Heat in oven until warmed through.
- Decorate with fresh fruit.
Variation:
- May use cooked brown rice or millet or any other grain instead of buckwheat.
