Ingredients:
- 2 c cooked millet
- ½ c sunflower seeds
- ½ c walnuts
- ¼ c cashew nuts
- ½ c bran
- ½ c wheatgerm
- 1 T soy sauce
- 2 T fresh parsley, chopped
- ½ small onion, grated
- 1 c grated carrot
Method:
To cook millet:
- Use 1 cup of uncooked millet to 3 cups of water and ½ t salt.
- Bring salted water to a boil.
- Add the millet while stirring.
- Return to a boil, lower heat and simmer for 45-60 minutes.
- Grains should be cooked slowly.
To make patties:
- Place sunflower seeds, walnuts and cashew nuts in blender and blend till fine.
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
- Form into patties and place on oiled baking paper on a baking tray.
- Bake at 180°C for 30 minutes, turning them over halfway through.
- Serve with tomato sauce.
